Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that 408 thousand citizens traveled by train during the Eid al-Adha holiday and drew attention to the fact that 2 million 509 thousand citizens travel free of charge in Marmaray, İZBAN and Başkentray. Karaismailoğlu said, "Thus, we carried a total of 2 million 917 thousand passengers during the Eid holiday."

Adil Karaismailoğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, said in a written statement; He reminded that TCDD Tasimacilik AŞ added additional flights to the trains and increased the capacity in order to meet the increasing passenger demand during the Eid al-Adha holiday. Underlining that an additional capacity increase of 11 thousand 838 people, 39 thousand 800 on the High Speed ​​​​Train lines and 51 thousand 638 on the main line and regional trains, was made during the Feast of Sacrifice, Karaismailoğlu drew attention to the fact that the trains reached the occupancy rate.

2.5 MILLION CITIZENS TRAVEL FREE IN MARMARAY, IZBAN AND BAŞKENTRAY

Karaismailoğlu said, “During Eid al-Adha, 119 thousand citizens traveled on our High Speed ​​​​Trains, 74 thousand on our mainline trains, and 215 thousand on our regional trains. During the holiday, a total of 408 thousand citizens traveled by trains.”

Pointing out that Marmaray, İZBAN and Başkentray are also free of charge during Eid al-Adha, Karaismailoğlu announced that a total of 1,6 million 688 thousand passengers were transported free of charge, including 221 million on Marmaray, 2 thousand in İZBAN and 509 thousand in Başkentray.

WE DECLARED MOBILIZATION ON THE RAILWAYS

Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu, who said, “We declared mobilization during the period of our governments for the revival of the rising value of the railways”, stated that 20 billion dollars have been invested in the railways in the last 37 years. Expressing that the 1432 kilometer High Speed ​​​​Train line has been built, Karaismailoğlu said, “We increased our conventional line length by 6 percent to 11 thousand 590 kilometers. We have increased our total railway network to 13 thousand 22 kilometers”.
