Day 6 on the Historical Bicycle Tour

For the first time, the general individual classification winner did not change until the climbing stage of the TOUR. At the beginning of the stage, DSM-Firmenich athlete Tobias Andresen was the owner of the Turquoise jersey. All eyes undoubtedly turned to the end of the stage. Because perhaps another athlete would wear the Turquoise jersey instead of the sprinters who did not like the climbing stage very much. As a matter of fact, Frank Van Den Broek became the new owner of the Turquoise Jersey. Again, as we started the stage, we saw Bike Aid athlete Vinzent Dorn as the owner of the white and red jerseys. Giovanni Lonardi from the Polti Kometa team carried the sprint jersey and it remained with him at the end of the stage.

153 ATHLETES GOT THE START

11.56 athletes started from Kuşadası Marina area at 153. Bora Hansgrohe team's Danny Van Poppel and Novo Nordisk athlete Matyas Kopecky were out of the race because they did not sign. Immediately after the start, two Astana athletes ran away. They opened the gap, first by 20, then by 25 seconds. He caught up with the peloton before he could even go 5 kilometers. At the 21st kilometer, the same athletes from Astana, Davide Ballerini and Nicolas Vinokurov, attempted to attack, but the peloton caught them again. The 25th kilometer of the stage was passed and cyclists started to arrive towards the sprint bonus gate.

AT THE END OF THE 6TH STAGE, THE SWIMSUITS FOUND THEIR OWNERS

The Spor Toto-sponsored Turquoise Jersey, given to the leader of the general classification, was won by Frank van den Broek from the DSM-firmenich team. The Belgian athlete was given his jersey by Emin Müftüoğlu, President of the Turkish Cycling Federation.

Giovanni Lonardi from Polti Kometa Team won the Mosso-sponsored Green Jersey, which is given to the leader of the points classification. Manisa Youth and Sports Provincial Director Yunus Öztürk dressed the athlete in his swimsuit.

Vinzent Dorn from the Bike Aid team won the Turkish Airlines Red Jersey, which is given to the leader of the King of the Mountains class. Manisa Provincial Gendarmerie Regiment Commander Brigadier General Zafer Tombul presented the swimsuit to the athlete.

Vinzent Dorn from the Bike Aid team won the White Swimsuit sponsored by goturkiye.com, which is given to the leader of the Turkish Beauties class. Manisa District Governor Fatih General dressed the athlete in his swimsuit.
