Result of Vehicle Purchase Tender for Izmir Tram Lines

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Çiğli Tram line, as well as Konak and Karşıyaka It organized a tender for the purchase of electric tram vehicles to be used on tram lines. In the tender for 26 vehicles, a 60 percent local production requirement was required.

Bozankaya Automotive Machinery Manufacturing Import and Export Inc. participated and made a bid of 3 billion 955 million lira. Detailed evaluation will be made by the tender commission and the decision will be made.

The vehicles will be delivered within 27 months

After the contract is signed, the company will deliver the first two vehicles 18 months later. All of the vehicles will be delivered within 27 months. With the new tram vehicles, the number of tram vehicles serving on three lines will increase to 64.
