More than 100 thousand people from the Capital City voted for the survey initiated by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to determine the future of Ulus Square and the 20th Anniversary Bazaar. The voting, which was organized through the 'Right to Speak' module through Başkent Mobil and attracted great interest in a short time, will continue until August 15.

In line with its understanding of participatory democracy, ABB has now launched a survey through Başkent Mobil to determine the future of Ulus Square and the 100th Anniversary Bazaar. The poll, which was opened to voting on the 'Right to Speak' module on July 5, 2022 and in which more than 20 thousand citizens of the Capital have voted so far, will continue until August 15, 2022.
INTENSIVE INTEREST IN THE SURVEY
Continuing the city administration with the principle of 'common mind' by taking the opinions of all the stakeholders of the capital, the Metropolitan Municipality will determine the future of the 100th Year Bazaar and Ulus Square, known as Ankara's memory, with this method.
The Metropolitan Municipality, which took action after a group of experts was of the opinion that "it should stay in place, be preserved and functionalized", and another expert group defended the view that "it has no historical feature, a new urban square should be brought to the center of Ankara, the Capital of the Republic, by being demolished". He opened it to the people of Ankara.
The survey, which was prepared by determining two main themes, attracts great attention through the 'Speak Right' module in Başkent Mobil.
ANKARANS WILL MAKE THE DECISION
Citizens of Başkent will be able to vote until 100 August 15 by filling out the following two-option survey, which also includes the draft project images of Ulus Square and the 2022th Anniversary Bazaar:
-"one hundred. I prefer the preservation and re-functioning of the Yıl Bazaar”
-“I prefer to build an urban square for Ulus”.
According to the results of the survey, the citizens of the Capital will decide how the 100th Anniversary Bazaar and Ulus Square will be evaluated.
