Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer continues to support university students in line with the principle of equal opportunity in education. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, which carries out many projects for young people from education aid to food, free transportation to laundry service, took action this time for students who have difficulties in getting intercity bus tickets. President Tunç Soyer stated that families who received social assistance before the Eid al-Adha will cover the return tickets of their children studying at the university, and announced that 3 liras of transportation aid will be provided to 403 students.
President Soyer also said that they started a "Pending Ticket" campaign in order to reach more students and said, "Dear Izmir residents! With our Suspended Ticket application, you can pay the tickets of our students with limited opportunities and provide them with transportation support. Take action to provide freedom of movement to the youth of our youth city Izmir! I invite all our fellow citizens to be a part of this solidarity so that we can reach more young people.”
How to participate in the Suspended Ticket campaign?
Izmir residents who want to participate in the “Pending Ticket” application can meet with students waiting for tickets by clicking the “Buy Suspended Tickets” tab on the bizizmir.com website and support the campaign.
