The Ministry of Family and Social Services will carry out the third of the Turkey University Youth Profile Survey, which is the first profile survey on university youth.
Turkey University Youth Profile Survey, which is repeated every 3 years within the scope of the National Action Plan for Combating Addiction, to obtain quantitative data such as the family relations of university students who continue formal education at universities in Turkey, their pastimes, nutrition and sports habits, and harmful substance use. In the light of these data, it is carried out in order to produce social policies for the needs of young people.
The Turkey University Youth Profile Survey, which was first conducted in 2016, was repeated in 2019. In the 2016 research, 33 university students from 68 universities in 21.156 provinces were interviewed and the research result report was presented to the High Council for Combating Addiction in 2017. The 2019 research was conducted with a total of 33 university students in 74 universities in 16.204 provinces and was presented to the High Council for Combating Addiction in 2019.
It will be held at 22 Universities in 50 Provinces
The third study began in August. Field implementation is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Within the scope of the research, family relations and friendship ties, perceptions of university life and beyond, life routines in university life and leisure activities, health status and beneficial/harmful habits of university students who continue formal education at universities in Turkey will be evaluated through a questionnaire. . The research will be carried out at 22 universities in 50 provinces. Within the scope of the research, it is aimed to interview approximately 20 thousand students.
Research Result Will Guide Academics, Researchers and Doctors
Public institutions and organizations working with young people and developing policies for young people, NGOs, universities, colleges and institutes within the body of the Higher Education Institution, academicians working on the subject, institutions providing rehabilitation and treatment services, researchers, doctors, policy makers. and it is aimed to create a guide for its practitioners.
