Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer changed the cover photo of their social media accounts with a photo titled 'We are knitting İzmir with iron nets'. In the cover photo, which includes information about the ongoing rail system projects in Izmir; It was stated that 92 percent of the Narlıdere Metro, 74 percent of the Çiğli Tram, and 3 percent of the Buca Metro were completed.

NARLIDERE METRO

There will be 7,2 stations on the line between Fahrettin Altay and Narlıdere District Governorship, which is approximately 7 kilometers long. With this line, the Metropolitan Municipality will increase the number of stations in the light rail network to 24 and the length of the rail system to 186,5 kilometers. With the completion of the works, those who take the metro from Bornova EVKA-3 will be able to go directly to the Narlıdere District Governor's Office.

CIGLI TRAM

Çiğli Tramway will consist of 11 km double track and 14 stations. Route; available Karşıyaka It is planned to serve Ataşehir, Çiğli İstasyonaltı Districts, Çiğli İzban Station and Çiğli Regional Training Hospital, Ata Industrial Zone, Katip Çelebi University and Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, starting from the Ring Road Station and passing through the connection bridge. The connection bridge, which will be built approximately 500 meters and will pass over the ring road, will have pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as the tram line.

BUCA METRO

Buca Metro will cost 765 million Euros with trains running on the line and will be completed with a cost of approximately 12 billion liras. Buca Metro, which has a line of 13,5 kilometers, will be built with the economic power of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Buca Metro is expected to be completed in four years. The line, which forms the 5th stage of the İzmir Light Rail System, will serve between Üçyol Station - Dokuz Eylül University Tınaztepe Campus-Çamlıkule. The line will consist of 11 stations. Starting with Üçyol, the line will include Zafertepe, Bozyaka, General Asım Gündüz, Şirinyer, Buca Municipality, Kasaplar, Hasanağa Garden, Dokuz Eylül University, Buca Koop and Çamlıkule stations respectively. The Buca line will be integrated with the second stage line running between Fahrettin Altay and Bornova at Üçyol Station, and with the İZBAN line at Şirinyer Station. Train sets on this line will serve without drivers.
