Due to heavy rains last week in Budak Mahallesi Mahmat district of Ordu's Çamaş district, most of the mountain has slipped. The land mass that broke off from the mountain closed the road that provides access to 7 households. Ordu Metropolitan Municipality reopened the road to transportation with the withdrawal of underground waters in the region where the works are very risky.

Heavy rains in Ordu last week brought landslides and landslides. While 260 kg of precipitation per square meter fell in some regions, 336 landslides and landslides occurred throughout the province.

Two of the most severe landslides occurred in Budak District of Çamaş district. On the road that provides access to 7 households in Mahmat district, the mountain shifted to the road at two different points. The size of the landslide was revealed after the technical examinations made by the Metropolitan teams.

Due to the volatility in the ground, the landslide was not intervened in the first place in order to draw the ground rain water in order to ensure life and work safety.

The teams of the Department of Science Affairs affiliated to the Metropolitan Municipality and the General Directorate of the Ordu Water and Sewerage Administration (OSKİ), which were waiting in the landslide area, intervened in the areas where the landslide occurred after the necessary precautions were taken and occupational safety was ensured. After the works, the road serving 7 households was opened to traffic. The needs of the citizens were met.

After the landslide removal operations, the teams of the General Directorate of Ordu Water and Sewerage Administration (OSKİ) took action to renew the drinking water lines.

In the statement made by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, it was reported that stone wall work will be carried out in the region to ensure the safety of the landslide area.
