Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer stated that 24 million 2022 thousand 6 participants have been attended to more than a hundred trainings opened through the Teacher Informatics Network (ÖBA), which was established on January 111, 158 to support the professional development of teachers. Özer said that 944 thousand 763 of the teachers successfully completed at least one of the trainings offered by the ÖBA.

In order to support the professional development of teachers, the development work was started in December 2021, and was put into use on January 24, 2022. The ÖBA, where teachers can do their professional development training and access the content, was established to support their personal and professional development in a multidimensional way. It is possible to log in to the ÖBA, which is offered at oba.gov.tr, with a MEBBİS or e-Government password.

Making an assessment of the services offered at the ÖBA, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, “More than a hundred trainings have been published through the Teacher Information Network, which was established to support the professional development of teachers. Since its establishment, 6 million 111 thousand 158 participants have been attended to the trainings opened through ÖBA. 944 thousand 763 of our teachers have successfully completed at least one of the trainings offered by IBA.” said.

Özer stated that the ÖBA was planned to meet the needs at the school level as well as to enable teachers to receive training that will contribute to their professional development, and said: taking. In addition, the aim was to share the experience and knowledge of educational institutions, which stand out with their success or qualified applications, with other educational institutions. Within this framework, Teacher - Manager Mobility Programs were created. All stakeholders were given the opportunity to benefit from them.”

In addition to these, Özer stated that ÖBA also has the necessary infrastructure for synchronous education and said, “There is also a 'Library' area in ÖBA, where a large amount of content is offered. ÖBA's Android and iOS applications were also prepared.”

Noting that the necessary infrastructure has been provided for teachers to complete specialist teaching and head teacher training programs through IPA, Özer also said that sign language translation has been added to all content (240 videos) in these programs.

Referring to the trainings published in ÖBA, Özer shared the following information: “24 trainings were published from ÖBA within the scope of the 4 January – 10 February semester seminars. The number of successful completion of at least 1 training was 444 thousand 850. During the 11-15 April seminar period, 14 different trainings were published from ÖBA. The number of teachers who successfully completed at least one training was 763 thousand 061.

In the 20-24 June Vocational Working Period, 12 different trainings were published from the ÖBA. At least one training was completed by 898 thousand 160 teachers. With the participation of our teachers in more than one training, this number reached 2 million 348 thousand 747 in total.

With additional trainings, more than a hundred trainings have been published so far. 6 million 111 thousand 158 participants were attended to the trainings opened through ÖBA. 944 thousand 763 of our teachers have successfully completed at least one of the trainings offered by IBA.”
