In this project, many of our students are studying in Turkey from MEPHA National Nuclear Research University. I am delighted to attend the graduation ceremony taking place online this year. Thanks to the high-level education they received in Russia in the field of nuclear energy, Turkish students studying at MEPhI National Nuclear Research University will take part in the Akkuyu NGS project, and will become important friendship bridges of Turkish-Russian relations in the future. We appreciate the success they have achieved in the learning process and are proud of all our students. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to all faculty members and staff of the university, especially to the President, for their close attention and support to our students. I congratulate all our graduates and wish them success in their future lives. "
Participating in the ceremony of Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of the Republic of Turkey and the International Nuclear Energy Project Implementation Director General Halil Ibrahim Dere also congratulated the young engineers as follows:
“So far, we have overcome many important steps in the realization of the Akkuyu NGS project. The construction of the nuclear power plant continues at full speed. You have years ago you believe in the future of nuclear energy in Turkey and sail to an unfamiliar route, away from your home town and you have the courage to begin the long arduous training. Today is the time to reward your courage and efforts. All our young experts Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources, I congratulate you sincerely on behalf of the Ministry. You are also like your colleagues who graduated in previous years, Akkuyu Nuclear Inc. will start working and you will be the pioneer of the nuclear sector in Turkey. We are proud that you will be a part of this important project. On this occasion, especially your teachers, AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. employees, with the Russian Federation Embassy in Turkey, and believers who support you and your family want to thank everyone for their efforts in order to receive education. "
AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. Human Resources Director Andrey Pavlyuk addressed Turkish students as follows:

Turkish graduates, who received their diplomas and offered their gratitude to their teachers, expressed their experiences and feelings as follows:
Hande Nur Yakar: “I came to Russia in 2014 and immediately started learning Russian at the preparatory faculty in Obninsk. I studied there for 1 year, after which I moved to Moscow. I studied for 5.5 years at the Moscow campus of the MEPhI National University for Nuclear Studies to get my specialist degree. The lectures at the university were given by experienced teachers. Practical and laboratory courses enabled us to develop professionally. I especially remember our internship program in Volgodonsk, where we learned a lot of useful information about the main equipment of nuclear power plants. Moreover, I saw with my own eyes the production process of such equipment at the "Atommash" factory. It has been a very useful experience for me. I am happy to receive such a good education at MEPhI National University for Nuclear Research. Many unforgettable experiences while studying here kazanI was and now I am returning to Turkey to work as an expert at Akkuyu NPP. I would love to stay in touch with MEPhI and Russia, which has become my second home. I would like to thank our University, the Dean's Office and especially the Automation Department staff for everything!”
Osman Ak: “I came to Russia to study physics engineering at MEPhI and now I will work as a specialist in Akkuyu NGS after graduation. After six and a half years of education, our wonderful student years are coming to an end. On behalf of all the graduates, I would like to thank our Dean's Office, our department and all our teachers who developed their knowledge curiosity. Also, I would like to thank my classmates for always being with me and for spending good years together. I will always remember and miss Russia and my university. "
Denizhan Quota: "I came from Turkey to Russia 6.5 years ago. Here we studied Russian at the Obninsk Atomic Energy Institute for a year. Of course, it was difficult for us to learn at first because we did not know the language and culture, but eventually we adapted successfully. Subsequently, I studied in Moscow for 4 years, the education process was very interesting. When I was in the fourth grade when I needed to choose a specialty, I and my 17 other classmates chose the NGS business staff preparation branch and returned to the city of Obninsk where we already felt like we were at home. Specialization classes were difficult but we were making an effort, we were studying a lot and we graduated from university this year. We are very happy. We are very grateful to our teachers at the Obninsk Atomic Energy Institute and MEPhI, thank you very much! ”
This year 43 Turkish students graduated from MEPhI. Eighteen of them studied at the Atomic Energy Institute, which is the Obninsk branch of the university, and 18 at the MEPhI Moscow central campus. Graduates are entitled to a diploma in the specialization “Nuclear power plants: design, operation and engineering” kazanwas. The students studied in three specialties: design and operation of nuclear power plants, radiation safety of nuclear power plants, monitoring and control systems of nuclear power plants. When the young experts return to their hometown, they will receive job offers from AKKUYU NÜKLEER A.Ş. and will soon start working at the construction site of the first nuclear power plant of the Republic of Turkey.
