4 Lines Determined for Sakarya Rail System Project

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce explained the 4 lines of the Rail System project and the latest situation in the live broadcast of TV264.

Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Yüce, who was a guest of the Journalists Ask program broadcast on TV264, announced the last point reached for the Rail System and the 4 lines determined in the city.

Here are the highlights of President Yüce's speech on the Rail System:

“It was not deemed appropriate at the time, we started revision work for transportation. The data we obtained were analyzed. The issue of including compliance data in the investment plan according to the financing model was even communicated verbally.

WE ARE WAITING FOR A LETTER OF CONFORMITY FROM THE MINISTRY

We have completed the revision plans of the transportation plan and sent them to the approval of the ministry. We are waiting for a letter of conformity from the Ministry.

After the letter of conformity, we will start the correspondence for the transfer of the actual feasibility, application projects and construction by the ministry.

In order to include the investment in the 2023 plan, we will start an intensive work on this subject with the support of our politicians.

PROJECT OFFERED FOR 4 LINES

In the first meetings with the Ministry, we focused on 4 lines.

  • We prepared a 1 kilometer line project from Adapazarı to Sakarya University in the 9st stage. We submitted it to the Ministry.
  • We have prepared a 2 kilometer line project from Adapazarı city center to Erenler Meat Fish Institution in the 5nd stage.
  • We have designed a 3 kilometer line from the 9.3rd stage city stadium to the terminal.
  • We have prepared an 4-kilometer line project from Adapazarı city center to Yenikent and City Hospital in the 18th stage.

WE ARE WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION

The meetings with the Ministry were positive. Our ministry has been very welcoming. We are waiting for the approval of the Ministry of Transport, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments for the Rail System.
