The 12th Barrier-Free Life Fair and Awareness Summit opened its doors to its visitors at Istanbul Expo Center on 3-1 December 4, covering the 2022 December International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The fair, which aims to raise awareness in order to remove the obstacles set in front of disabled people, started to host its guests with the opening held with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Services Derya Yanık on 1 December.

The National Anthem, which was sung at the opening, was sung in sign language, which is widely used among the hearing-impaired.

The fair, which will be held under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and hosted by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, will host its domestic and foreign guests in Istanbul for the 10th time with the support of 12 ministries, TOBB and KOSGEB.

Turkey's only and the world's 6th largest “Disabled-Free Life and Awareness Summit” will bring together the stakeholders that appeal to the disabled, the elderly and all segments of society, and will cover all issues related to social, care, health and education at an international level and with participation.

TCDD Transportation General Directorate, which participated in the fair under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, took its place at the fair with the 'Orange Table' service, which does not leave the disabled and mobility-impaired passengers alone for a moment during their train journeys.
