TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team continued its leadership by taking the podium after a close struggle in Belgium Ypres Rally. In the rally stages, which also included the legendary Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, the young driver of the team, Kalle Rovanperä, took the podium in third place.
In the Ypres Rally, which was held for the first time as a part of the FIA World Rally Championship, there was a close struggle between all the drivers. Following Rovanperä, teammates Elfyn Evans took fourth place and Sébastien Ogier fifth.
In the rally, where the winding roads of the Ardennes region and the Spa Track were combined, Rovanperä finished the race on the podium, 6.5 seconds ahead of Evans.
