Family and Social Services Minister Derya Yanık said, “With our five cash social assistance programs, we will pay approximately 93 million TL to our citizens in need. As of today, we are starting to deposit payments into the accounts of those in need.” said.

Minister Yanık, within the scope of regular social assistance, Cash Assistance for the Widowed Women (EVEK), Assistance to the Families of Soldiers in Need (MAAY), Assistance to the Children of Soldiers in Need (MAÇY), Orphan Orphan Assistance (ÖYY) and Chronic Disease Assistance for the month of August. He stated that the payments will start as of today.

Approximately 52,6 million TL support for women in need

Sharing the details of the social assistance to be paid in this direction, Minister Yanık said, “We stand by our women whose husbands passed away and who are in need of help. In this context, we provide a total of 52,6 million TL support to our women in need.”

Support for families of soldiers in need

Minister Yanık stated that they support the families and children of the needy privates and non-commissioned officers, who carry out their compulsory military service, with 2 separate social assistance programs, and that they will deposit approximately 25,4 million TL into the accounts of those in need.

We will pay approximately 11,3 million TL for orphans and orphans in need.

Noting that they also provide support for children in need under the age of 18 whose mother, father or both have died, Minister Yanık noted that within this scope, 11,3 million TL will be deposited into accounts.

More than 3,5 million TL support for those in need with chronic illness

Minister Yanık underlined that they also provide cash aid to those in need with tuberculosis and subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) chronic diseases, and we will provide 3,6 million TL of support.”

Minister Yanık said that chronic illness benefits will be paid as of August 25, 2021, and other payments will be made between August 24-28, 2021.
