The number of China-Europe freight trains passing through the Erenhot station, the largest land border crossing between China and Mongolia, has exceeded 300 since the beginning of this year. From this border gate, 317 freight trains carried 32 'six-foot' (344 cubic meters) containers of goods. This indicates an increase of 33,2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.



The volume of goods transported by freight trains passing through the said border station increased by 73,52 percent compared to the previous year and reached 268,8 thousand tons. The import and export value of the goods in question exceeds 4 billion 350 million yuan (673 million dollars).

On the other hand, the amount of cargo carried in the Chinese civil aviation sector in January increased by 10,5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 669 thousand tons. According to the statement made by the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC), a robust growth trend has been observed in air cargo transportation on domestic and international routes in China.

The data showed that the amount of cargo carried by cargo planes increased by 67,7 percent in January compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 281 thousand tons in total. Airline cargo traffic on international routes increased by 24,7 percent and grew for three consecutive months. The amount of cargo transported on domestic lines has achieved the first positive growth on an annual basis since December 3.
