“North of Marmara, Kınalı-Tekirdağ, Çanakkale Balıkesir Motorway and west and south of Balıkesir-Bursa and Kocaeli Motorways will complete the highway ring around Marmara. It will be a new alternative to the Bosphorus crossing for the road traffic that will turn to Europe and Thrace, west of the Aegean and Central Anatolia, Adana-Konya axis and the Western Mediterranean Regions. With our highway that will be 101 kilometers, the current state road will be shortened by about 40 kilometers. Time and fuel savings will be 567 million liras annually.
