ALKA, consisting of a high-powered laser weapon with an electromagnetic jamming system, a target detection radar, and a target tracking system, provided superior detection, tracking and destruction capabilities against ground and air targets in seconds. Cost Effective Defense System With No Ammo Limits
The Laser Weapon Systems Procurement Project activities, initiated by the Presidency of Defense Industries and carried out under the main contractor Roketsan, continue at full speed. Developed within the scope of ALKA Directed Energy Weapon System; A high-powered laser weapon system with Target Detection Radar, Target Tracking System and Electromagnetic Jamming System was demonstrated. Within the scope of the demonstration activity; The domestic and national laser weapon system solution, which was developed as an integrated product family at different power levels and for different carrier platforms (fixed, portable and mobile), was introduced, and the capability and effectiveness gained through firing tests were demonstrated. The developed systems demonstrated superior detection, tracking and destruction capabilities in seconds against both ground and air targets. In the project, Ermaksan company also takes part as a laser source manufacturer.
