Farmer Registration System Applications Will End in December
Farmer Registration System Applications Will End on 31 December 2022

The Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) applications for the next year, which can be made free of charge via e-Government with the regulations made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, will end on December 31, 2022.

The ÇKS, which was put into use in 2001, is an application in which the crop production activities of the producers on the lands they own are recorded and agricultural support payments are made according to these records.

ÇKS business and transactions are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Farmer Registration System Regulation.

The regulation was amended on September 23, 2022. With the amendment, it was aimed to reduce bureaucracy and facilitate the application process and conditions of farmers with digitalization. In this context, ÇKS applications started to be received through the e-Government Gateway and farmers were provided with great convenience. With digitalization, the farmers' application for the ÇKS, which was made in 2 days on average, can be made in 2 minutes.

ÇKS e-Government applications were activated on October 1, 2022. In addition, farmers can get their ÇKS documents free of charge via e-Government. Within this framework, approximately 2,3 million ÇKS certificates were obtained by farmers via e-Government.

Applications for the 2023 production year ÇKS started on September 1, 2022 and will end on December 31, 2022. Farmers can apply for the CKS for the 2023 production year via e-Government and by going to the provincial/district directorates. Farmers must submit their applications until 31 December 2022 in order not to experience any grievances in benefiting from agricultural supports.

In addition, when farmers who have applied for EQS until 31 December 2022 want to make changes in their product declarations, they will be able to do this through e-Government and provincial/district directorates in February 2023.

“WE WANT TO IMPLEMENT THE AGRICULTURAL POCKET APPLICATION”

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci, in his evaluation on the subject, emphasized that the introduction of e-Government entries to the ÇKS increased the interest in the system.

Expressing that he understands the farmers very well because he comes from a farmer family, Minister Kirişci said, “Our farmers were able to carry out the procedures related to the ÇKS by making personal visits to the chambers of agriculture, two headmen and from there to our provincial and district directorates, but as of October 1, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was appointed as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. We made the application available via e-Government. Now, ÇKS transactions can be done in 5 minutes via mobile phone, tablet or desktop computer.” said.

Pointing out that with the application, both the farmer and the Ministry personnel can use their time more efficiently, Kirişci said:

“When we talk about digitalization, technology naturally comes to mind. It also means that you have healthy data sets in your hand. Time is precious too. With digitalization, we have implemented this practice by telling our producers that your time is valuable, our time is valuable, and the country's resources should be used carefully. If we consider that classical method of obtaining these documents, it avoids all risks. This is just a start for digitization. At the end of this year, we want to implement Tarım Cepte application.”

HOW ARE ÇKS APPLICATIONS MADE?

In order for ÇKS applications to be made through the e-Government Gateway, the farmer logging into the system with his identity information and password must type “ÇKS” in the search field on the e-Government Gateway and then select the “ÇKS Registration Renewal Application” service.

The applicant who chooses the "New Application" option will tick the "I Approve" box at the bottom of the page after reading the lighting text.

By clicking the "Continue" button, the registered information of the farmer in the ÇKS system will be displayed. The farmer will check his contact information on this page and update his information if necessary. The farmer viewing their registered lands will be able to renew their product information by using the "Change Product Information" button.

Displaying all the information regarding the application on the last screen, the farmer will display and approve the application fee to be deducted from the "Initial Support Payment", thus completing the application.

Completed applications displayed by clicking the "Application List" button will be evaluated by the provincial/district agriculture and forestry directorates.
