Turkish Red Crescent teams provide various assistance to the citizens who were damaged in the fire in Antalya.
Decares of land burned due to forest fires in Antalya, many citizens suffered material damage. Dozens of animals perished in the fire. Many institutions, especially the forestry teams, were vigilant. Many non-governmental organizations from the surrounding provinces and districts moved to the region to support the citizens in the disaster area. Red Crescent teams from many points of Turkey also reached the areas that were victimized due to the fire. Various aids are delivered to the citizens who were damaged in the fire.
Kızılay İzmir Branch President Kerem Baykalmış said, “We are now in Manavgat Oymapınar. This is one of the important areas affected by the fire. Some of our citizens lost their homes and lost their animals. Many teams work here. As Kızılay, we meet the needs of citizens, especially in Marmaris and Antalya, such as basic foodstuffs and hygiene materials. We are now at a central point. Our citizens from many provinces and districts donate emergency items to meet the needs of the victims. We, as the Red Crescent, distribute all the materials and necessities, both donated here and brought from our warehouses, to our citizens who suffered due to the fire.”
