Accordingly, Ağbal was dismissed within the scope of the additional article 375 of the Decree Law numbered 35 and article 3 of the Presidential Decree numbered 2.
Ağbal was appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank in November 2020, replacing Murat Uysal. Two days after Ağbal's appointment, Berat Albayrak had resigned from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance.
