İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate applied to the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services to facilitate the disabled individuals who need to issue an İzmirim Card with photo within the scope of combating the pandemic. In order to provide faster and easier service to disabled people in electronic environment, a request was made to open the “national disabled database” to ESHOT.

In accordance with the circular issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the scope of combating the pandemic, the period of HES Code control in urban public transportation has started. In accordance with the decision taken by the Provincial Hygiene Board of the Governorship of Izmir, it has been made mandatory to match the Izmirim Cards with personal HES codes. Within the scope of the application, which started on October 30, it was necessary for citizens over 65 and disabled citizens to use public transportation free of charge to issue a personalized (with photo) Izmirim Card.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality ESHOT General Directorate took action to facilitate and speed up the transactions of disabled individuals, especially on the unhealthy images that emerged when the citizens of these groups flocked to the card centers.
