Minister Pakdemirli stated that 85 percent of the economic irrigable land of our country, which is 78 million decares, that is 66,5 million decares, was opened to irrigation. it is possible to generate income, ”he said.
SAVING FRONT PLAN IN IRRIGATION PROJECTS
indicating that three quarters of the water used for irrigation in Turkey Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli said “We prefer the most modern and economical sprinkler and drip systems when constructing irrigation facilities. These systems will be implemented in the facilities to be built under the protocol. By switching to closed system pressurized pipe irrigation, transmission losses are reduced to a minimum and farm efficiency is increased to a maximum by providing significant water savings with on-farm irrigation systems. Thus, 35% water saving is achieved in sprinkler irrigation and 65% in drip irrigation ”.
