The reason for problematic traffic in Antalya is the light rail system

The reason for the problematic traffic in Antalya is the light rail system: half of the members of the Antalya Commodity Exchange (ATB) think that the traffic problem in the city is due to the light rail system. Approximately one-fifth of the respondents are concerned about the poor timing of the traffic lights.
Before the local elections to be held on 30 March 2014, ATB conducted a local government survey to determine the opinions of its members in order to determine the corporate views of the stock exchange. A face-to-face questionnaire for the ATB board, council members and members of the professional committee was held at the parliamentary meeting in January. In this study, questions were asked to the members under the headings of city trade, urban traffic, agricultural production and trade, and urbanism.
According to the results, 50 percent of the respondents see the current rail system as the most important cause of traffic congestion in the city. 21 percent of respondents also attribute the problem to bad time scheduling of traffic lights. The ratio of those who think that the most important thing to do to solve the urban traffic problem is that the route of the nostalgic tram should be improved on the university-courthouse-bus station route. The rate of those who think that the official offices in the center should be relocated is 42. The rate of those who stated that traffic signaling should be rearranged in a holistic and dynamic manner was 23 percent. 19 percent of the respondents want the roads in the center to be arranged in one direction.
To the questions about what is the most important problem of urban trade, 69% of the existing shopping malls weaken the urban trade and 15% of the tourists do not enter the urban trade. 38 percent stated that shopping malls should be removed from the city in order to improve intra-city commerce, while 25 percent stated that the convenience and prevalence of urban parking should be increased. 17 percent of the respondents think that similar workplaces should be consolidated and intra-city trade activities should be held.
While 54 percent of those who see the lack of a ring road as the most important problem in terms of urban planning, 35 percent of Antalya consider shopping malls piled in the city center as a problem. In the survey, the rate of those who did not want to open a new shopping mall in the city center was 50, while the rate of those who wanted to move the existing shopping malls outside the city was 39 percent.
2016% of the participants who answered the questions about EXPO 69 Antalya believe that EXPO 2016 will change the face of Antalya and leave permanent marks. 31 percent of the participants find the work done inadequate and wrong. While the rate of those who found the green / natural tissue and the things done about children very insufficient in Antalya was 46 percent, 23 percent of the participants stated that they found what was done positive, but that they should be further developed.
Other results of the survey are as follows: “79 percent of the tourists who spend the night in Antalya state that an accommodation tax should be collected, which will flow to local governments. The rate of those who think that the Tümşehir Law will help protect agricultural lands and increase agricultural production and trade was 39 percent, and 29 percent advocated the opposite. The rate of those who stated that they do not have any knowledge about the new law is 23 percent. 31 percent of the respondents see the destruction of agricultural lands and the local governments' insufficient ownership of agriculture as the most important problem in terms of local government in the development of agricultural production and trade. 19 percent of the participants, on the other hand, see the rapid increase in migration from rural to urban areas and the lack of support for residents engaged in agriculture as a problem. While 37 percent of those participating in the local governments survey indicate that the most important work to be done for the development of agricultural production and trade is to stop the development of agricultural areas, 30 percent expect the easing of tax / legislation on agricultural production and trade. 22 percent of them express the idea of supporting the residents who are engaged in agriculture.
