This fast train will run at -40 degrees!

It was announced that the first high speed train transportation in the coldest part of the world will be put into service at the end of the year.

A full line service rehearsal was held yesterday (October 8) on the railway linking Harbin, the center of Heilongjiang province in northeast China, to the famous seaside city of Dalian in Liaoning province. The length of the railway, which is designed to be 350 kilometers per hour, is 921 kilometers and its total duration is approximately 4 hours.

According to the information obtained from the Harbin Railway Directorate, the CRH380B type high-speed train, which serves on the railway, can withstand temperatures between -40 degrees and 40 degrees and has a strong capacity against harsh weather conditions such as wind, sand, rain, snow and fog.

23 2007 on the construction of the railway is expected to enter service at the end of the year.
