In order to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the decisions taken within the scope of Covid-19 measures in the public transportation services carried out by the EGO General Directorate are taken and implemented in consultation with the Governorship in line with the decisions of the Ankara Provincial Public Health Board.
The Cable Car Management poses a risk for our citizens using public transportation during the coronavirus pandemic process, as each cabin is 4 m² and has 10 people (two rows of five people facing each other); In addition, Yenimahalle-Şentepe Cable Car Line was temporarily closed to service as of March 20, 21, since each voyage was completed in 2020 minutes and the voyages continued uninterruptedly, since the disinfection process could not be performed between the voyages.
In these days when the normalization process is entered, it is planned to reopen our cable car line if the necessary conditions are met.
However, due to the fact that the Cable Car Operation has been closed for about fifteen months, opening the line without heavy maintenance will be inconvenient in terms of passenger safety and system security. For this reason, maintenance and inspection works were started again.
