Oncu Arkas' pioneering land port investment
Railport Kartepe to be established, the development of multimodal logistics centers in Turkey, aims at promoting intermodal network between Europe and Asia. Railport, located on an area of approximately 265 thousand square meters and in the center of the industry, will be a transfer terminal where the cargo can be evacuated and handled again. Thus, both will feed the Silk Road and China-Turkey line will serve the eastern Marmara Sea ports.
In the first phase of the project, railway lines, container stacking areas and a 5.000 square meter warehouse are being built for loading and unloading operations. Railport, which has an annual cargo storage capacity of 100 thousand containers and 500 thousand tons of general cargo, is an environmentally friendly investment with its railway connection.
