Istanbul Airport Subway will be completed in the second half of 2020. H. Kadri Samsunlu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IGA Airport, made the statement on the subject.
H. Kadri Samsunlu, Chairman and General Manager of İGA Airport Operation, gave the good news that the Istanbul Airport - Gayrettepe Metro line will be completed in the second half of 2020 by autumn. It will be a great convenience for Istanbulites who have difficulties in transportation to Istanbul Airport.
LINES THAT ISTANBUL METRO WILL BE INTEGRATED
The Istanbul Mertros, where work continues unabated, will be integrated with the following lines;
M2: Transfer to Hacıosman-Taksim-Yenikapı line. In this way, it will be possible to go to Sariyer, Maslak, Etiler, Hisarustu, Mecidiyekoy, Sisli, Nisantasi, Taksim, Sishane, Unkapani, Fatih, Vezneciler, Beyazit, Laleli and Yenikapi.
Transfer to the Metrobus line will be possible. In this way KadıköyIt will be possible to reach the stops on the metrobus line from Istanbul to Beylikdüzü.
As you know, Istanbul Airport is a giant project consisting of multiple stages. When all stages are in service, it is thought that there will be more than one metro station in different terminal buildings.
For the time being, when the subway construction is finished, the first terminal will be accessible by subway from Gayrettepe, Kağıthane, Kemerburgaz and Göktürk.
GAYRETTEPE ISTANBUL AIRPORT METRO LINE LENGTH
Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport metro line will have a length of 32 kilometers. There will be a total of 8 stations on the metro line, including Kemerburgaz, Göktürk and İhsaniye stations. When the rail system, which will connect Gayrettepe to the 32rd airport with a 3 km long line, is completed, the journey between the two districts will decrease to 32 minutes.
