The number of connecting lines, also known as 'door-to-door special railway line', increased to 280 and the line length reached 433 km. From the first years of the Republic to the 1950 year, the 3 thousand 764 kilometers of railways were built. Between 50 and 2003, only 945 km railways were put into service.
