Faroz Football Field, whose renovation work was completed by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality, was put into service with a ceremony hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç. Stating that Trabzon is a sports city, Mayor Genç said, “I am happy to host all our guests who honored the opening of our Faroz Football Field, which we put into service in its renewed form in Trabzon. Our Trabzon has many features and beauties, but one of the most important is that this city is a sports city. It is a city that provides very important services to Turkish football. It's not just football, our city is also a city with an Olympic sports infrastructure. The European Summer Games were held in our beautiful ancient Trabzon in 2007. The European Youth Olympics were held in 2011. Inter-high school Olympics were held in 2016. Strengthening the sports infrastructure of this beautiful city and making it ready for all competitions is also the responsibility of us local administrators.
