Islamic Development Bank to finance Iran-Central Asia railway line

The Islamic Development Bank will provide financial resources for the Iran-Central Asia railway project. According to the Tajik press, during the visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Tajikistan, an agreement was reached between Iran and Tajikistan to establish railway lines that will carry out the transportation of oil, natural gas and water resources.

According to the news of Iran's Mehr agency, a meeting was held between Iranian Economy and Finance Minister Seyed Shamsoddin Hosseini and Islamic Development Bank President Ahmed Mohammad Ali. The Iran-Central Asia railway line project was discussed during the meeting. Noting that they support the project, Ali stated that they are ready to provide financial resources for the project.
