Speaking at the Silkworm Export Awards ceremony, Mayor Bozbey stated that Bursa was in the first place in terms of textile and apparel years ago and said, “I think we lost the ranking a little bit. While we were losing, we actually had to achieve branding as Bursa. It is our wish and desire to highlight Bursa brands and to stand out in the country and world market with Bursa's brands in the textile industry. I know that effective training and studies have been carried out on branding, but I wish we could easily count more companies in a city like Bursa, which is the center of textile, and be proud when we see our names in the world. “I would like to thank all our friends who made efforts in this regard.” he said.

Stating that Bursa has always been at the forefront with its contribution to the Turkish economy by giving importance to production and exports, Mayor Bozbey emphasized that the state should also change its perspective on Bursa. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey said, “The people of Bursa produce, the industrialists from Bursa contribute to the state and the country's economy, but we see that we are behind in terms of the investments that the state should bring here. Our city should be introduced to transportation models provided by faster transportation to Europe and cleaner energy. "Our demand is that as much as Bursa contributes to the state, a significant part of it should be presented to the people of Bursa as a return." said.

Following the speeches, Mayor Bozbey presented awards to the company representatives who achieved success in the Gold Export Category and Platinum Export Category and said, “I want you to know that we are with you. We want to solve problems together, breathe clean air in this city and walk together in social-cultural areas. I wholeheartedly congratulate all our friends who received awards. While Yeşim Sales Stores and Textile Factories Inc. received the Export Champion Award by achieving the highest exports in the field of ready-made clothing and apparel, many companies received platinum, gold, silver and bronze awards according to their performance.
