New Project from Mayor Palancıoğlu: Stray Animal Village

Stating that they aim to offer a loving home to orphaned stray animals, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, “We are establishing a comprehensive village in Melikgazi for our stray animals that share the same world with us and are in need of love, attention and care. As Melikgazi Municipality, we are implementing such a beautiful project both for the care and needs of stray animals and for the safety and peace of our citizens. This project aims to improve the living conditions of stray animals and provide them with shelter, along with care, treatment and rehabilitation services. We will heal stray animals by hosting them in the village environment. There will be a natural habitat, cafe, event area, and dog training track in our stray animal village. The development plan, the area we allocated and our project are ready. Hopefully, we will implement our project soon.” said.

THREE IMPORTANT PROCEDURES FOR STREET ANIMALS

Stating that stray animals will be adopted after the necessary care and rehabilitation are provided, Mayor Palancıoğlu said, “There are three important things we need to do about stray animals. The first of these is neutering. As you know, stray animals give birth to more than ten babies with a single birth. This situation causes a serious increase in the population of stray animals. For this reason, neutering is one of the most important things we need to do as a Municipality. Another important process of ours is rehabilitation. We will rehabilitate, care for and adopt stray animals in a beautiful environment with veterinary services. This is a very important issue for our little friends. In addition to protecting our animals from many dangers outside, we will heal them with our qualified care service. The last important thing is to hit the ear tags. We will understand that our animals whose ear tags have been shot benefit from the care service of our municipality, that they are a member of our stray animals village, that they are rehabilitated and healthy. " he expressed.
