Services have started on the Cable Car Line built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in the winter tourism center Kartepe. Citizens flocked to the cable car over the weekend to reach the top of Samanlı Mountains, accompanied by views of Izmit Bay and Sapanca.
The cable car project, built in Kartepe, an important center of Kocaeli's winter tourism, and a 50-year-old dream of the city, was opened to the service of citizens at the beginning of the week. On the first day, citizens flocked to Derbent station to benefit from the free cable car service and reach the top of the Samanlı mountains with the view of Sapanca Lake and Izmit Bay. The view did not change at the weekend. Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, Kocaeli residents flocked to Derbent station again.
LONG QUEUE IN FRONT OF THE STATION
Citizens rushed to Derbent station early in the morning on Saturday and at noon on Sunday. Long queues formed in front of Derbent station. Citizens who reached the top of Samanlı Mountains with the view of Sapanca Lake and Izmit Bay had an unforgettable experience.
