Ankara Metropolitan Municipality transformed the buses, which have completed their useful life in passenger transportation, into mobile shower, boiler room, dormitory, barber and laundry room to be sent to the earthquake zone. While mobile showers and boiler room started to be used in the earthquake region, mobile laundry and mobile barber set out for the region.
After the earthquakes on February 6, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality took action to solve the hygiene and washing problem, which is one of the biggest needs of the citizens staying in the disaster area.

Reminding that mobile shower vehicles were sent to the region in his post on his social media accounts, ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “After our mobile shower vehicles, our mobile laundry and barber centers, which we converted from idle buses, took off. We will hug each other tightly and bandage our wounds together," he said.
END OF LIFE BUS CONVERTED
Environmental Protection and Control Department teams; transformed 10 EGO buses, which have reached the end of their useful life in passenger transport, into mobile showers, mobile boiler rooms, mobile dormitories, mobile barbers and mobile laundry facilities for the use of earthquake victims.
6 mobile showers, 1 mobile boiler room, 1 mobile dormitory, 1 laundry room and 1 mobile barber, whose transformation has been completed, were transferred to the region. In addition, two trucks converted into mobile showers set off.
There are also a sink, shampoo, soap, hair dryer and towel in the mobile showers, which set off towards the earthquake zones and can wash 6 people at the same time.
Two barbers will work in the mobile barber sent for the use of earthquake victims.
