After the earthquake that affected half of the country, news of destruction came from many cities. Some buildings in the provinces of Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Diyarbakır, Malatya, Şanlıurfa, Adıyaman, Hatay, Adana and Osmaniye were destroyed. A Crisis Desk was Established under the Presidency of Fuat Oktay
Immediately after the earthquake, a Crisis Desk convened at the AFAD Coordination Center under the chairmanship of Vice President Fuat Oktay. In addition to Oktay, the ministers and relevant department managers attended the meeting. Interior Minister Soylu said that citizens will be informed throughout the day by the Directorate of Communications at the AFAD Center.
