In the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), it was stated that the number of 5G mobile users in China reached 428 million at the end of May. In the statement of the ministry, it was stated that the number of 5G base stations in the country reached 1,7 million.
Noting that the improved network infrastructure provides a solid foundation for the development of the digital economy, the ministry added that 5G technology is widely applied in all areas of life and accelerates the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry.
Going forward, the ministry also stressed its determination to further solidify 5G industrial foundations while advancing 5G network construction and promoting the development of 5G applications.
