Speaking at the opening ceremony of the rafting track, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the star of the mountain districts will shine more and more with each passing day with investments in eco-tourism and nature sports.
The 8,5 kilometer rafting track, built by the Orhaneli Municipality in the Orhaneli district of Bursa, was put into service with a ceremony. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, as well as Bursa Deputies Osman Mesten, Atilla Ödünç and Ahmet Kılıç, Orhaneli Mayor Ali Aykurt, Orhaneli District Governor Emir Osman Bulgurlu attended the opening ceremony of the track, which was also supported by the Metropolitan Municipality, in order to provide easy access to the region. , Turkey Rafting Federation President Fikret Yardimci, AK Party Provincial Chairman Davut Gurkan, district governors, mayors and sports fans.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that the mountain region consisting of Orhaneli, Keles, Harmancık and Büyükorhan has a great potential in terms of nature sports and eco-tourism. Expressing that important services have been provided to the region with the struggle of the general local administrations and Bursa deputies in Ankara, Mayor Aktaş said, “The investments made have started to bear fruit. Road work is one of the indispensable issues. There are very important works carried out by the Ministry of Transport. With the support of our Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Youth Center and Youth Camps we will build in Gölcük Plateau will be a center of attraction for Turkey. Our young people and children will come here from different cities to camp. Almost all of this work will be done by our Ministry and some of it will be done by our Metropolitan Municipality. We are also working on the Karagöz Recreation Area. Our Büyükorhan Municipality has a newly prepared project related to highland tourism. Harmancık eco-tourism related investments continue. We have now reached the final stage of the works at Keles Kocayayla. Therefore, the opening held here today is not just an issue specific to Orhaneli, but in my opinion, this investment is an issue that concerns the whole of Bursa and even all of Turkey in terms of rafting sport. Bursa has a population of 3 million 100 thousand and we are in a hinterland of 20 million. There is a 15 million dollar value like Istanbul right next to us. By Allah's leave, I can already imagine and see what a financial and moral reward these tourism investments will find in the city. I would like to thank the Mayor of Orhaneli for this facility," he said.
2 years of labor
Orhaneli Mayor Ali Aykurt talked about the projects they carried out to improve the quality of life of the people of the region from 7 to 70. Aykurt, who thanked everyone who contributed to the project from the Rafting Federation to the Metropolitan Municipality, said, “We started this project 2 years ago as soon as I took office. While coming from this road, our vehicles were halfway through the mud. Today, with the support of our Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, we have brought 780 trucks of material to this road only. We set out to offer this place to Bursa and the entire Marmara Region as a service. We believe that it will make a great contribution to the promotion of Orhaneli. We have set ourselves the goal of serving humanity and humanity. I believe that our rafting track will make a significant contribution to the regional economy. May our track be beneficial to our district and to all sports fans.
The mountain's fortunes are changing
Osman Mesten, the regional deputy who took the floor on behalf of the Bursa Deputies participating in the ceremony, emphasized that the unfortunate luck of the mountain continues to change with each passing day. Stating that the most important pillar of rural tourism is nature sports, Mesten said, “This region, which we call the back side of the mountain, changes the bad luck that we have been repeating for a long time. We no longer have bad luck, we have special luck, we have special luck. We are always behind the projects that will bring about this special fortune. We are trying to do our best. The potential of our region is the potential of our Bursa. Your future will be much brighter from now on. A beautiful future awaits us. As long as we act accordingly and make appropriate investments. One of the most important indicators of this is our rafting course. Perhaps great professional athletes will emerge from here. I wish good luck to our Bursa”
