The stops were covered: Mustafa Kemal had closed stops with the problem of citizens waiting for a bus in the heat due to the tram works on the Beach Boulevard.
As the air temperatures exceeded 40 degrees in Izmir, the bus stops with open top and sun were a nightmare for the citizens after the buses with air conditioning did not work. Due to the tram works carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality on the Mustafa Kemal Beach Boulevard, the closed bus stops were removed and the passengers were exposed to the scorching summer heat. While the use of the phrase "Temporary Stop" on the signs at the bus stops placed on the top of the tram rails and on the roadside drew attention, the citizens reacted strongly to the open-top stations.

Immediately after the New Century brought the problem to the agenda, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality took action and revised the stops. Metropolitan Municipality, which dismantled the open-top stop signs, placed new bus stops in their places. Citizens took a sigh of relief as the white, glass-paned stalls entered service. The elderly who entered the station and sat on the seats to be protected from the sun rays said that they were no longer suffering from suffering.
