In line with the "Free or Discounted Travel Cards Regulation" of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, TCDD General Directorate, Marmaray and suburban trains whose citizens over 65 are in the city trains. started to carry for free. According to the same regulation, those in this age group benefit from a 50 percent discount on High Speed ​​Trains (YHT), mainline and regional trains between cities.
Within the scope of the regulation, in addition to passengers who benefit from free travel by law, those who are disabled 40 percent and above, 50 percent or more disabled and have a "severely disabled" report, and their accompanying passengers, as well as parents and children under 25 years of age can use intercity trains (excluding sleepers, couchettes and business wagons) for free.
In order to benefit from these discounts and free travels, 65 passengers must have an identity card, and disabled passengers must have a disability card issued by the Prime Ministry Administration for Disabled People or the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.
It is sufficient for the relatives of the disabled to present the cards taken from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies.
