Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to renew and improve the areas used by amateur sports clubs. Synthetic turf field and facility building works are continuing for Başiskele Yakup Altun Stadium.
The synthetic turf field for athletes is being renewed in an area of 10 thousand m². In the Yakup Altun Sports Facility project, the 68×105 meter field is being revised to synthetic turf for competitions and training. Teams continue to lay synthetic turf. When the work is completed, lines will be drawn and then the granulated sand laying process of the field will begin.
Work continues in the facility building with a construction area of 440 square meters. The exterior cladding of the facility building was done. Ceramic flooring is being done in the interior. The electrical installations of the building have been completed. The facility building will include a manager's room, changing rooms and sinks.
