'Supply Process' Regulation for Traffic Ban

In accordance with the circular regarding the 'Traffic Measures' published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to reduce the traffic density in the provinces of Istanbul and Ankara after returning from the holiday, trucks, tractors and tankers will be closed from 14 on Sunday, April 2024, 05.00 to 15 on Monday, April 2024, 05.00. It was announced that they would not be allowed to enter Ankara and Istanbul.

In order to avoid disruption of supply processes; Trucks, tractors and tanker type vehicles carrying perishable foods such as fresh vegetables/fruits, milk and dairy products, frozen foods, live and cut flowers, medicines, medical supplies and fuel must be driven primarily on routes other than the main arteries, and if necessary, on the main arteries for at least a period of time. They will be allowed to sail exceptionally.

In his statement on his social media account, Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya warned citizens to obey traffic rules.

Traffic density on our highways started to increase again;

During the holiday, our Traffic Police and Gendarmerie Traffic continue their inspections on a 24-hour basis.

The 7th day of the holiday will be on Friday, April 12, 2024;

664 traffic accidents occurred. 349.174 vehicles were inspected. Speed ​​and radar procedures were carried out on 24.583 vehicles, and other procedures were carried out on 27.808 vehicles.

Total in the first 7 days of the holiday:
(Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

There were 4.370 traffic accidents. Unfortunately, 55 of our citizens lost their lives. 7.331 of our citizens were injured. May God have mercy on our citizens who lost their lives, and I wish a speedy recovery to our injured.
