President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Hamas Political Bureau Chairman İsmail Haniyeh at the Dolmabahçe Working Office.

According to the news from the Directorate of Communications, issues related to Israel's attacks on Palestinian lands, especially Gaza, what needs to be done to ensure adequate and uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and a fair and lasting peace process in the region were discussed.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan said that Turkey continues its diplomatic efforts to draw the attention of the international community to the oppression of the Palestinians and that the need for an end to the brutality and an urgent permanent ceasefire is emphasized at every opportunity.

President Erdoğan stated that one day Israel will pay the price for the oppression it inflicts on the Palestinians, that Turkey will continue to explain the massacres against Gaza on every ground, and that all efforts will be devoted to the establishment of the independent State of Palestine, which is the key to regional peace, and to bring permanent peace to the region. He stated that it was done. Stating that it is vital for Palestinians to act in unity in this process, President Erdoğan said that the strongest response to Israel and the way to victory is through unity and integrity, and that Palestine's rightful cause and the facts should be explained more against Israel, which misleads the international public opinion. He said it was necessary.

During the meeting, President Erdoğan also stated that Turkey continues its humanitarian aid to Palestine in order to relieve the suffering to some extent, that more than 45 thousand tons of humanitarian aid has been shipped to the region to date, and that a number of sanctions have been implemented against Israel, including restrictions on trade.

Evaluating the tensions between Israel and Iran, President Erdoğan emphasized that the events should not gain ground for Israel and that it is important to carry out activities that will draw attention to Gaza again in order to prevent the atmosphere questioning Israel's attacks in the West from dissipating.
