Intense Diplomatic Traffic from President Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held meetings with many leaders during the Eid al-Fitr week, including Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Iranian President Ibrahim Reisi and Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President Erdoğan carried out intense diplomacy during the holiday week. Gaza was the main agenda item of the meetings, where bilateral relations, regional and global issues were discussed.

During his meeting with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, President Erdoğan expressed his determination to strengthen the relations between the two countries in every field and wished God's mercy to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

President Erdogan, after discussing bilateral relations in his telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Enver Ibrahim, emphasized that efforts to support Palestine should continue with determination.

Another person President Erdoğan met with was Turkmenistan National Leader and Head of Public Affairs Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov. In the telephone conversation where Turkey-Turkmenistan relations, regional and global issues were discussed, President Erdoğan stated that Turkmenistan's increasing interest in the Organization of Turkic States is pleasing.

MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENT OF ALGERIA TEBBUN

In the telephone conversation between President Erdoğan and Algerian President Abdülmecid Tebbun, relations between the two countries, regional and global issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to increase its joint efforts with Algeria for the establishment of a permanent ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the region, and a fair solution on the basis of two states.

In President Erdoğan's telephone conversation with Kazakhstan President Kasım Cömert Tokayev, regional and global issues as well as bilateral relations were discussed. President Erdoğan shared his sadness about the flood disaster in Kazakhstan and stated that Turkey was ready to help.

In President Erdoğan's telephone conversation with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues were discussed. During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that the developments in the Sahel region are closely followed and that Turkey will continue to share experience, capabilities and opportunities in the defense industry with Nigeria.

MEETING WITH PRESIDENT OF UZBEKISTAN MIRZIOYEV

Another leader that President Erdoğan talked to on the phone was Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, President Erdoğan expressed his determination to ensure that steps are taken to further deepen bilateral relations.

In President Erdoğan's telephone conversation with Iraqi President Abdullatif Rashid, relations between Turkey and Iraq, the fight against terrorism, the Development Path Project and regional issues were discussed.

President Erdoğan also had a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

During the meeting, where Turkey-Pakistan bilateral relations and global issues were discussed, President Erdoğan expressed his condolences to those who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and their relatives.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo was among the leaders that President Erdoğan met with during the Eid week. During the meeting where relations between Turkey and Indonesia were discussed, President Erdoğan wished that the presidential and general elections would be beneficial for the Indonesian people.

President Erdoğan stated that he expects the momentum gained in the course of relations between the two countries with Widodo to continue with his successor, Subianto. President Erdoğan also emphasized that efforts should be increased to combat the global challenges faced by the Islamic world, especially the Palestinian cause.

In President Erdoğan's telephone conversation with Indonesia's elected President Prabowo Subianto, relations between the two countries and global developments were discussed. Congratulating Subianto on his election victory, President Erdoğan said that deep-rooted relations will further develop in the new period; He expressed his expectation that the cooperation of the two countries in all fields will be furthered within the framework of mutual trust.

President Erdoğan also stated that it is important to continue joining forces with Indonesia on all issues concerning the Palestinian cause and the Islamic world.

MEETING WITH PALESTINE PRESIDENT ABBAS

In his telephone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “No matter what happens, we will continue to stand tall against Israel's barbaric attacks on Gaza, and Israel will of course pay the price for this oppression. "We must mobilize all means for a ceasefire, including the decision of the United Nations Security Council," he said.

President Erdoğan also called Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh, whose three children and three grandchildren were martyred in the Israeli attack, and expressed his condolences. During the meeting, President Erdoğan stated that Israel will definitely be held accountable for the crimes against humanity it has committed before the law.

LETTER FROM PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN TO POPE FRANCISCUS, THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE CATHOLICS

On the other hand, President Erdogan also sent a "Palestine letter" to Pope Francis, the spiritual leader of Catholics and the Head of the Vatican.

In his letter, President Erdoğan stated that humanity should not allow the violation of international law and international humanitarian law in Gaza any longer.
