Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay held a meeting with the heads of departments and managers of the Metropolitan Municipality and KOSKİ General Directorate on the first working day after the 31 March Local Government General Elections.
Speaking at the meeting held at the Metropolitan Municipality Stone Building Culture and Arts, Mayor Altay stated that the election process was completed without any problems and said, “Now Turkey is starting a new era. Our citizen said he would say it at the ballot box. Konya has always been a municipality and structure that both supports this cause and influences Turkey with its success in local governments. Now, Konya's success will again be the pioneer of some changes and transformations in Turkey. I believe this team will do this. Hopefully, together we will strive harder, work harder, spend more time, put in more effort. I believe that we will write a new success story together. "I hope that the elections will bring goodness to our city and our country," he said.
Mayor Altay thanked all the people of Konya who gave their license to serve Konya for another 5 years and stated that they will continue to serve 42 thousand square kilometers of Konya diligently.
