The 3rd Francophone Film Festival, hosted by Nilüfer Municipality, started with the screening of the movie "Falcon Lake", a Canada-France co-production.

The Francophone Film Festival, organized for the 3rd time this year by Nilüfer Municipality together with Institut Français Turkey and Bursa Turkish-French Alliance Française Cultural Association, started after the cocktail held at Konak Culture House. Nilüfer Municipal Council Member Yücel Akbulut and Council Member Okan Şahin, Uludağ İçecek A.Ş. attended the opening of the Francophone Film Festival, where 13 French films will be screened this year. Chairman of the Board of Directors Mehmet Erbak, Bursa French Honorary Consul Nuri Cem Erbak, Institut Français Audiovisual Cooperation Attaché Floret Signifredi and moviegoers attended.

Speaking at the opening of the festival, Nilüfer Municipal Council Member Yücel Akbulut said that the Francophone Film Festival has become an indispensable part of Nilüfer's art lovers in a short time. Expressing that art lovers will have the chance to watch French films at the festival, which will last until April 25, Akbulut said, “During this economic crisis, I am sure many people even forgot to go to the cinema. You know how expensive it is to go to the movies with your family. "Under these conditions, Nilüfer Municipality offers our citizens the opportunity to watch outstanding films of French cinema for a very affordable fee," he said.

Following the speeches, the Francophone Film Festival started with the screening of the French-Canadian co-production "Falcon Lake" at the Serdar Şafak Stage in Konak Culture House.
