Additional YHT Expeditions Will Be Made for Volunteers Who Will Go to the Earthquake Zone

An additional YHT expedition was launched by the General Directorate of TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ, affiliated to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, for the volunteers who will go to the earthquake zone. In this context, 1.500 YHTs will be operated between Söğütlüçeşme and Konya to ensure the travel of 3 volunteers who will go to the earthquake zone from Istanbul.

The YHTs that will carry the volunteers who will go to the earthquake area will depart from Istanbul Söğütlüçeşme at 01.00 and 14.00. Volunteers will continue to Iskenderun by transferring to the trains that will be available in Konya at the same time.

Vital Transportation is Provided by Regional and Mainline Trains

On the other hand, since the first day of the earthquake, the transportation of volunteers and earthquake victims was supported by trains, and within this scope, transportation of more than 1300 people affected by the earthquake was provided by regional trains between İskenderun-Mersin-Adana-Osmaniye.

In addition, a total of 9 earthquake-affected citizens were transported to Kırıkkale and Ankara by 1510 trains between Malatya and Ankara via Sivas.

In addition, waiting rooms, guesthouses, social facilities and wagons in Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Iskenderun, Diyarbakir, Elazig and Malatya were heated by TCDD and opened to the use of citizens affected by the earthquake.

In this way, 4.800 citizens on the first day and 5.940 citizens on the second day were able to spend the night in a warm and safe environment.

Marmaray Will Provide 12 Hours of Uninterrupted Service for Earthquake Victims until 24 February 24

In addition, the Marmaray suburban line and Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport metro line will provide 12-hour uninterrupted service until 24:00 on Sunday, February 24, to facilitate the transportation of citizens coming from the earthquake zone.
