Two major earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş shook all of Turkey. While tons of aid is being sent to the earthquake area, the rescue efforts continue uninterruptedly. After the earthquake, Turkey started to help earthquake victims with one heart. Some people apply for foster families for children who have lost their families and relatives, while some citizens think about how they can help the region after the earthquake. But bad guys are at work, too.

According to a claim circulating on social media, a message containing infected software is sent to users via popular messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Telegram. In the message in question, it is claimed that there was an 8.5 magnitude earthquake in Bangkok and there is a video about this earthquake.

However, cyber security experts warn that if you receive such a message, you should definitely not open it, and if there is a link, do not click it, and if there is a video or photo, you should not download it to your phone.

Regarding the spam message, some cyber security accounts on Twitter said, “Do not respect the content spread on social channels on the subject of 'Bangkok 8.5 Earthquake Video Spreading Virus'. The content in question is the work of an unfounded deception since 2017.” says.

In addition, cyber security experts say that if you click on the link in the message about the 'Video of the 8.5 magnitude earthquake in Bangkok', my infected ransomware will infect the device and steal users' data and money through installed bank applications.
