128 domestic and foreign athletes participated in the 176-kilometer race of the series, which is also in the World Cycling Union (UCI) calendar, bearing the name Apollo GP.

Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Turkish Cycling Federation and the Cycling Tourism Association, the Turkey Winter Races Series, the biggest international bicycle race series in the world, continues with the main sponsorship of Megasaray Hotels, Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, Anadolu Hospitals and Shimano. .

The excitement that started last weekend, which is also included in the Cycling Union (UCI) calendar, continued this weekend as well. 176 local and foreign athletes participated in the race, which started from the ancient city of Side in Manavgat, the touristic town of Antalya.

Before the race, the athletes posed for the members of the press in front of the Temple of Apollo and then started the 128-kilometer race.

With Start, he proceeded through the ancient city and took the D-400 Highway. Later, the athletes who returned to Side Mahallesi from Çakış Junction, Deniz Tepesi Mahallesi, Bereket Mahallesi and D-400 highway Örenşehir Mahallesi route completed the race full of joy and struggle.

Russian athlete Sergei Rostovtsev won the first place with a time of 2:48:11. Adrian Zuger came in second and Vladimir Mulagaleev came in third.

The medals were given to the winners by Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu and Cycling Tourism Association President Recep Şamil Yaşacan.

In their statement, Müftüoğlu and Yaşacan stated that Turkey and Antalya continue to rise in the world of bicycles and stated that Antalya attracts attention with its climate, geography and opportunities.

The Turkish Winter Races Series will continue to start every weekend from important historical regions of Antalya.

Within the scope of the Turkey Winter Races Series, which will take place in the World Cycling Union (UCI) calendar, 23 international bicycle races will be held. Within the scope of the series, 76 athletes from 1260 foreign teams and 4 Turkish athletes from 63 Turkish teams will compete.

323 athletes will be accommodated in 24 Bicycle Friendly Hotel, led by the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. Turkey 2023 Winter Races Series is also of great importance for professional world teams, as it gives UCI and Olympic points.

The teams that will prepare for the season by camping in Antalya between 15.12.2022 and 10.04.2023 will compete in the Turkey Winter Cycling Races Series, which will be held in Antalya's tourism centers Kemer, Antalya, Kundu, Belek, Side and Alanya.

While the cycling teams are preparing for the racing season with the organized events, they will make a great contribution to the promotion of Turkey and the tourism economy. Most of these teams are planning to come to Turkey for high altitude camps, especially in Kayseri-Erciyes, during the summer period.
