The Ratio of Childbearing Women in China Raised to 10 Percent

The 3rd China Population and Development Forum was held on February 11 in Beijing. According to the survey, there is currently a change in the population and family structure in China. The low birth rate and family shrinkage trend are remarkable.

In 2020, the average household size in China fell by 2010 to 0,48 people compared to 2,62. Views such as delayed marriage, birth and celibacy or childbearing brought about by the change in the concept of family have become the most important factor in China's fertility decline.

In addition, the average age at first marriage for women, which was 1980 years old in the 22s, increased to 2020 years in 26,3, and the age at first birth was postponed to 27,2. Women of childbearing age are also less likely to have children. The average number of children planned by those born in the 1990s and 2000s, which are the subject of fertility, is 1,54 and 1,48. The number of available children of women fell from 2019 in 1,63 to 2022 in 1,19. The proportion of life-long childless women rose from 2015 percent in 6,1 to nearly 2020 percent in 10.
