Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB), which placed earthquake survivors who came to the capital city after the earthquake and had housing problems, in social housing in Mamak Araplar Mahallesi, created a playground in the company of psychologists and experts so that children can overcome the trauma process more easily.
ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, “Social and emotional interaction is of great importance for our children to overcome the trauma process. We are trying to do our bit in this regard. We created a playground for our earthquake survivors in our Mamak Arabs Campus, accompanied by our psychologists and experts.”
Earthquake survivors, who came to the capital after the earthquakes that stifled Turkey and were felt in 10 provinces, continue to be placed in social housing in the Araplar Mahallesi of the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's Mamak district.
To the disaster victims placed in social housing; Hot meals for 3 meals, hot water for 24 hours, laundry, clothing, hygiene, food, health, security, emergency ambulance and milk and food support for babies are also provided.
Action for children
Taking action due to the importance of social and emotional interaction in order for earthquake survivors to overcome the trauma process more easily, ABB created a playground for Araplar Social Housing with psychologists and experts.
In addition to the Children's Activity Area, which is open between 11.00:18.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX, a movie theater where children can watch cartoons has been established.

Psychologists and specialists take care of children individually
Psychologists and specialists in the social facilities, which have the equipment to meet all the needs of the victims, take care of the children one by one so that they can overcome the trauma process more easily. The survivors hosted in the residences expressed their feelings as follows:
Mehmet Storm: “We came from Elbistan with my family. They meet all our needs in the Metropolitan Municipality. Internet service, food, clothing, they take care of us in every aspect.”
Sait Aslan: “I came from Malatya. The Metropolitan Municipality opened its doors to us, they are helping us in every way. They provide bed, clothes, shoes, food and all kinds of support.”
Mehmet Guven: “We had a great disaster. Mansur welcomed us well, thanks to the President. We are staying here.”
Sevim Kelahmetoglu: “We came from Antakya. They took care of us here, they welcome us very nicely.”
